Cognicom, though a relatively new company in its present form,
has been serving the IT needs of Australians for over a decade.
Conceived in 1992, The Online Tryst provided technical support,
hardware and software installation and maintenance services, network
implementation and support, and one of Australia's largest dial-up
bulletin board services, the precursor to today's Internet.
A change in name to Cognicom in 1999 signalled the transition
away from direct dial-up and onto the Internet. Continuing to
provide unparalleled service in all scopes of the IT field, web
design and data-driven dynamic web site creation were added to
the services on offer.
Today, Cognicom supports a multitude of customers all over Australia,
some small one-person operations, some multinational companies
with thousands of employees. Throughout our history we have maintained
that no customer is too small or too large for our services, and
no problem is too small or too large to be overcome. No matter
your requirements, we have a solution to fit your technical and
financial needs perfectly.
Founder Bob Milutinovic has been involved in the IT field for
well over two decades, acquiring his first computer in 1979 and
embarking on a career as a programmer in 1981.
Evolving with new technologies as they were released, he's gone
from tape drives to floppy drives to bubble memory to hard disc
drives, from the days of 128x48 monochrome graphics to these days
of 2048x1536 (and higher) displays in glorious 32-bit colour,
from 300 baud acoustic couplers to 6Mbps SHDSL modems, from 75-baud
RS-232 inter-computer communications to token ring to arcnet to
ethernet to gigabit ethernet.
With his extensive industry knowledge, programming, support and
development experience, and microelectronics engineering certification,
he is the backbone of Cognicom, assuring that our customers will
always get the best possible service, using the best possible
technology, at the best possible price.
